Team: Boys
Coaching Experience:

I have been assisting at Gorham High School since 2018. Our girls program has consistently made state semi finals, or better, for the last 5 years.

This is my first year coaching with Maine Juniors.

Playing Experience:

I found volleyball after college but I’ve been playing since 2015.
I’ve won numerous single day tournaments playing both mens adult 6’s and, my favorite style, Reverse Co-ed (3 men and 3 women, where men must jump from behind the 10ft in order to attack the ball).

I was formerly a libero and Outside hitter but I’ve dedicated many hours recently to setting.

I play every summer weekend day outdoor. Grass doubles is my life. Outdoor is a challenge that changes a player and gives them better understanding & insight.

A day of doubles is AMAZING exercise, its competing against great athletes & pushing yourself to your limits!

Coaches Outlook:

I value leaders.
Not everyone needs to lead verbally. Leading can come from being the example of hardwork and dedication. Leading begins with listening and asking questions.
In order to be a good leader you must understand where your team is at, where we mutually agree to go and how we are going to get there.

My boys 14U team will focus on creating good all around players instead of specific positioned players.

Why I Love Coaching:

Coaching is all about those lightbulb moments where an athlete gets its.

I’ve always grown most after I FEEL how to do something but my approach is geared towards self discovery. I want the athletes to think through why they do what they do. They need to be able to find the answers.

My Day Job:

I work with clients to find better workflows and ways to optimize or make their workers more efficient.
The goal is not to over work employees but rather give them insight, empower them and assure they have all the tools they need to be successful.
We then measure, backing up with statistical data, how far weve come.

Hometown:

I grew up all over the state of Rhode Island.

Favorite Food:

I once told a friend I’d trade them for a years worth of lasagna!
My mom used to make me a lasagna, instead of a cake, for my birthday each year.
(So dont bring any to practice or tournaments 😉 )
